This is a fiscal faculty ranked administrative position beginning July 1, 2026. Rank will be either Associate or Full Professor. Responsibilities Department Summary Assist the Dean in the administration of the operations and functions of the College. The Associate Dean has signature and leadership authority in designated areas of responsibility for the college as determined by the Dean. Typical Allocation of Duties : Manage and supervise – 40% – Manage and supervise college faculty, staff, accreditation, programs, curriculum, and events. Development and budget – 20% – Participate in the budget development process. Participate in college development efforts. Collaboration – 25% – Collaborate with internal and external partners on university-wide programs. Participate in student recruitment. Serve on university and/or University system committees. Scholarship – 15% – Engage in scholarly activities and encourage scholarship among faculty and staff. Qualifications An earned doctorate in a discipline within the College A record of teaching, scholarship, and service excellence, sufficient to qualify for the rank of Associate Professor in the college Preferred Qualifications Administrative experience in higher education at the department chair level or higher History of increasing administrative responsibilities Proposed Salary Commensurate with experience USG Core Values The University System of Georgia (USG) comprises 25 higher education institutions and the System Office.
