Cardiac Step-Down RN

Location: Charleston, SC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00), rotating weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Step-Down RN to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry-monitored unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac step-down unit.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and perform intravenous (IV) therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry unit.
• Current RN license in South Carolina or compact state license.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Strong telemetry and IV start skills are required.
• Travel experience is preferred, but first-timers might be considered.
