Registered Nurse

Register Nurse Job Type: Full time Location: Logan, UT As a registered nurse for a residential treatment facility, you will be responsible for patient centered care and ensuring the safety & well‑being of each resident. Distributing medication and ensuring the highest level of care. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement nursing care plans for residents Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding healthcare in an assisted living facility Work with other departments within the facility to ensure seamless and efficient care for residents Monitor and manage inventory for medical supplies and equipment Act as a liaison between residents, families and healthcare providers Maintain accurate and complete medical records for residents Duties Perform nursing assessments and evaluations on all clients upon admission. Examine clients presenting with health issues to ensure proper and prompt medical care. Coordinate medical and dental interventions by scheduling and monitoring office visits. Communicate with families concerning medication changes, health issues, and medical treatment. Obtain necessary consents when appropriate. Coordinate medication acquisition, storage, and administration in compliance with laws and regulatory standards. Email orders to parents in a timely manner, implement correctly, and maintain all paperwork appropriately. Have a reasonable understanding of medications: uses, side effects, benefits, and time frames. Encourage clients to be compliant with treatment regimens and manage side‑effect concerns discreetly. Research concerns if potential issues arise. Order lab work timely, according to policy, and report results to provider. Anticipate ScheduleII prescriptions to maintain continuity of care; maintain honesty in counting/monitoring medication. Prepare medications for client visits and discharges to ensure continuity of care. Support provider at LRA by attending medication management and treatment team meetings and monitoring day‑to‑day changes. Manage medication concerns related to insurance, providers, pharmacies, guardians, and admissions. Build confidence in parents and clients about medication benefits; answer calls and emails with appropriate information. Coordinate relationships with community‑based providers and services. Participate in comprehensive treatment by coordinating with treatment team members. Consult with physician and nurse practitioner regularly on client treatment plans. Provide in‑service training to staff on medical and psychiatric nursing issues. Attend all necessary meetings. Ensure the nurses' station and facility are stocked with first‑aid and treatment supplies. Respond timely to direct requests or questions from clients or customers; listen carefully and clarify needs. Keep commitments extended to clients or customers. Collaborate with staff to continually improve service delivery and operations. Demonstrate how the position supports organizational goals and departmental vision. Chart all findings and recommendations. Analyze all screenings and labs. Lead monthly educational groups. Provide wound care. Perform other duties as directed by provider at LRA. Qualifications Associate of Science in Nursing Current Registered Nurse license for the state of Utah Basic Life Support certification (BLS) NCI Non Crisis Intervention training will be provided Valid driver's license Physical Demands Continuously use hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation. Physically able to bend, stand, stoop, or sit for long periods of time. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Push or pull up to 100 lbs. Receive training on and potentially restrain escalated residents.
