Work Environment You will be working onsite in a hospital facility that boasts modern equipment and is fully equipped to handle a diverse range of patient needs. The position is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a work-life balance while offering the opportunity to engage fully in patient care. Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will: Implement personalized treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring adherence to guidelines specific to each patient's needs. Utilize effective modalities, such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to assist in patient rehabilitation. Educate and train patients on therapeutic exercises, techniques for safe ambulation, activities of daily living, and the proper use of adaptive equipment. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient progress through ongoing clinical notes and reports. Make referrals to specialized services when needed, ensuring holistic care beyond physical therapy. Attend continuing education programs and in-service training sessions to keep up-to-date with the latest physical therapy advancements. Collaborate with supervising therapists to evaluate patients and respond to any changes in their condition in accordance with state regulations. Participate in clinical team meetings to enhance communication about patient care initiatives. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patients range from individuals recovering from surgery or injury to those managing chronic conditions. You will work closely with a diverse client population, tailoring your approach to meet the specific demands of each patient's treatment goals. Qualifications To be considered for this vital role, candidates must meet the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required. Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the State of New Jersey. At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Preferred Experience While a bachelor's degree and licensure are mandatory, candidates with additional certifications or specialties, such as in geriatrics, pediatrics, or sports medicine, will be viewed favorably. Experience working in a hospital environment or skilled rehabilitation facility is also desirable. Compensation and Benefits In recognition of your skills and dedication, we offer a competitive compensation package that ranges from $60,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.
