Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of industrial machinery, heavy trucks, and construction vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and diverse machinery while contributing to the smooth functioning of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension components, and some air brake systems using OEM specifications and schematics.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, hydraulic systems, and engine tune-ups to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment including forklifts, and material handling equipment
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures and assist in equipment troubleshooting involving electrical systems a mechanical systems.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure all repairs meet safety standards.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel and LP engine repair.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery such as forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and brake systems.
- Ability to read or willingness to learn schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for complex repairs.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with willingness to learn and work as a team dedicated to delivering quality repairs efficiently.
