Assembly Mechanic

Job Details Job Location: Bellefonte, PA 16823 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Category: Manufacturing Job Description The Assembly Mechanic is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting hydraulic components and systems to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hydraulic systems, and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Job Duties Transport specified components to work area either manually or using an overhead crane Assemble components and subassemblies according to knowledge or unit being assembled or following blueprints Align and fasten components together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners Operate a torque wrench to tighten bolts to the tension specifications Operate a hose fitting crimping machine Operate a magnet drill for boring holes Grease or apply other lubricant on specified parts according to specifications Inspect components at various stages of the assembly as well as the final inspection of the completed product Fill out paperwork indicating completion of task Will be cross trained to work in various stages of assembly within the work area Qualifications Education: 1–2 years of vocational technical training or equivalent on the job experience Proficient use of hand and powered tools, air and electric Read and understand prints and assemble components according to instructions Strong communication skills with the ability to work with others Follow directions and work with minimal supervision Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs), bend, stoop, and stand throughout the day Ability to read measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) Experience with hydraulic assembly including installation of fittings and hoses Understanding manufacturing process and principles #J-18808-Ljbffr
