Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer (Dual Certified - Echo & Vascular)

Location: Columbia, SC
Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hour
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: Saturday - Monday | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | 36 Hours Weekly
Call Requirement: None

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer with dual certification in both Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound to join a leading cardiovascular imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in an acute care hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in both Echo and Vascular imaging, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive echocardiography studies and vascular ultrasound examinations
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Evaluate cardiac structures, function, blood flow, and vascular conditions
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures
• Accurately document findings and maintain patient records in EPIC
• Collaborate with cardiologists, vascular specialists, and healthcare teams
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to department standards
• Follow infection control, quality assurance, and patient safety protocols
• Assist with workflow management and timely completion of studies

Requirements

• Dual Certification Required (No Exceptions):
  
  • ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS (Vascular)
  • ARDMS-AE, ARDMS-PE, and/or CCI-RCS (Echocardiography)
• Minimum 1 Year of Recent Echo Experience
• Minimum 1 Year of Recent Vascular Experience
• Minimum 1 Year of EPIC Experience Required
• BLS Certification Required
• Strong Knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, and Vascular Systems
• Ability to Perform and Analyze Complex Ultrasound Studies
• Excellent Communication and Patient Care Skills
• Ability to Work Independently During Night Shifts

Important Submission Requirement

• Candidates must be Dual Certified in both Echo and Vascular modalities.
• Candidates without both certifications will not be considered.
