Essential Job Duties And Functions

• Provide direct services to diagnose and manage patients with speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders in the University Health Partners of Hawai'i Speech and Hearing Clinic;
• Teach and supervise clinical practicum experiences for students who observe and participate in your faculty-directed sessions in the UHPSHC;
• Comply with all legal requirements and company policies.

Qualification Requirements

Education/Training/ Experience

Minimum:

• Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from college or university of recognized standing, with major work in CSD.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA CCC-SLP)
• State of Hawai'i Speech Pathologist license to practice in the State of Hawai'i by date of hire.
• Experience in providing direct services in clinical specialties.
• Experience in supervising student clinicians.
• Experience in clinical leadership role.
• Demonstrated commitment to person- and family-centered care.
• Poise and good address for meeting, collaborating, and conferring with others.

Preferred:

• Experience in telepractice service delivery.

Skills Knowledge

Minimum:

• Demonstrated clinical competencies with evidence-based knowledge and skills to provide direct services to patients.
• Evidence of ability to teach effectively and to direct group discussions
