About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to take on a pivotal role as a strategic finance partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. This position demands a professional with a strong background in FP&A, technical accounting, and SEC reporting, capable of leading the annual budget cycle and handling complex accounting and disclosure matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for SEC reporting readiness, serving as a senior technical accounting resource, leading SOX readiness, and building investor-facing financial materials. Additionally, the VP of Finance will oversee FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and will be a key business partner to various departmental leaders, translating financial models to support R&D, clinical, regulatory, medical, and G&A functions. Applicants for the VP of Finance role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 15 years' of progressive finance experience is required, with a background that includes both FP&A and technical accounting/SEC reporting. A Big Four public accounting background, followed by industry experience in a biotech or life sciences company, is highly valued. The role also requires direct experience with SEC reporting cycles, registration statements, and public company financial operations, as well as a proven track record in capital markets transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be adept at financial modeling, and have a strong ability to drive finance systems and process improvements.
