(UK) Accounts Receivable Assistant

Description:

To temporarily assist the AR team at Centenary House in Darlington we're currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant.
In this role you'll be interacting via telephone and e-mail with internal and external customers.
General admin tasks will also be your responsibility.
We're looking for candidates with attention to detail who are open and friendly communicators.
1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Good knowledge of Excel is required.
Knowledge of French would be a very big plus but is not mandatory.

This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) hybrid role. Our team works onsite on average 3 days per week, during initial training it may be required to work onsite more.

Start date: asap
Initial assignment duration: 6 months
Assignment extension is possible, candidates with the right skillset may be converted to a permanent Cummins contract.

Skills and Responsibilities

• To work with a high volume of internal and external customers over the telephone and via e mail using standardized customer collection processes.
• Prepare reports and information to show the progress and the status of each customer.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams as appropriate to resolve any Accounts Receivable issues and to build open and honest partnerships.
• Works cross-functionally and/or with multiple Business Units and customers to identify potential problems and potential solutions.
• Fully participating in continual improvement projects related to Accounts Receivable processes.
• Working as a key part of a multi-skilled team.
• Cover additional responsibilities within the team where needed.

Skills

• Manages European Ledgers
• Follows Standard Customers collection strategy
• Experience of working in a client focused role using the telephone and e-mail.
• Experience of MS Office including intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to establish strong customer relationships.
• Ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Communications skills must be of a high standard.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including A* - C grade Math and English (or equivalent) or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
