Production ManagerJob Profile: JP00692Job Status: Full Time / SalaryPosition Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for supervising all phases of the homebuilding process, working directly with the Design and Operations Teams.Duties / Responsibilities:Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a teamStrict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codesBe safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelinesReviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessaryDirect teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are metProvide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and team member engagementImprove production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessaryOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma/GED or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years' relevant management experiencePrevious construction experience strongly preferredExperience in manufactured housing is greatly desiredExcellent planning and organizational skillsWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levelsMicrosoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skillsMust be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectivelyAbility to read and understand home building specifications greatly desiredDemonstrated adherence to safety protocolsAbility to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environmentPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
