General Surgery Physician

General SurgeonPrime Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join the medical staff at Olympia Fields Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, collaborative surgeon to build a successful practice while providing high-quality surgical care to patients throughout Chicago's south suburban communities.The ideal candidate will provide a broad range of general surgery services and work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and hospital leadership to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.ResponsibilitiesPerform a wide array of general surgical procedures, including but not limited to hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, appendectomies, colorectal interventions, breast surgery, endocrine procedures, and basic thoracic/vascular cases.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in tumor boards, trauma rounds, and quality initiatives to optimize patient care and outcomes.Participate in call coverage for emergency and trauma services.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in our integrated EMR system.Compensation and BenefitsHighly competitive base salary with productivity incentives, sigh-on bonus, and relocation assistance.Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and malpractice coverage.Generous PTO, CME allowance, 401(k) with employer match, and wellness programs.Collaborative, mission-driven work environment.Access to the extensive resources of Prime Healthcare's nationwide network.QualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical school.Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in General Surgery.Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.Active or eligible for Illinois medical licensure.Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and teamwork.Experience in trauma/surgical critical care is a plus but not required; new graduates and experienced surgeons are encouraged to apply.Pay TransparencyPrime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs.
