Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical (Day Shift) in Hickory, North Carolina.

Location: Hickory, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, guaranteed 36 hours per week, with weekend hours required every other weekend.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a busy medical surgical environment. This position requires strong patient advocacy and teamwork, as well as the ability to manage various patient conditions. The nurse will utilize the Cerner electronic health record system and operate standard medical equipment as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as necessary.
• Document patient care and progress in Cerner EHR.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Required Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure:

• Current NC or compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
