If you know your way around a commercial property and can walk into a job, figure out what needs to happen and take care of it without someone holding your hand all day we should talk.

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is looking for an experienced Commercial Handyman / Maintenance Craftsman who enjoys working with his hands and wants to stay in the field.

We're not looking for someone who needs to be taught the basics.

We're looking for someone who has real-world experience and knows how to get things done.

What You'll Be Working On

Our commercial customers have plenty of work that needs a skilled person who can handle a little bit of everything.

Your day might include:

• Commercial carpentry and finish work
• Doors frames and hardware
• Drywall repair and painting
• Flooring and tile repairs
• Light plumbing
• Light electrical
• Ceiling and wall repairs
• Shelving and fixture installation
• Trim and millwork
• Punch-list work
• General building repairs
• Tenant improvements and small remodeling projects

Every property is different.

One day you're repairing a door at an office.

The next you're handling drywall and trim at a retail location.

Then you may be knocking out a punch list for a property manager.

You look at the problem. Figure it out. Get it done.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with 10+ years of hands-on experience in commercial maintenance construction remodeling carpentry or the skilled trades.

More experience is welcome.

You should be someone who can:

• Work independently
• Handle multiple trades
• Troubleshoot without needing constant direction
• Read a job and understand what needs to be done
• Work clean and safely in occupied commercial spaces
• Communicate professionally with property managers and customers
• Take pride in your workmanship
• Show up on time and follow through
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have your everyday hand tools

You don't need to know everything.

You do need to know how to figure things out.

This is a field position.

You work the jobs. We handle the business side.

• Scheduling
• Customer calls
• Dispatching
• Job coordination
• Paperwork
• Keeping your calendar full
