About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Consumer Products practice. This is not a fractional CFO role; it is an embedded position that requires the successful candidate to build and own a portfolio of venture-backed companies, with a focus on shaping the future of finance. The CFO will be responsible for business development, strategic advisory, and client management, as well as leading and building engagement teams. This role demands a professional with a strong background in finance and accounting, including a CPA and/or MBA, and at least 12 years' experience, with a proven track record in business development and multi-client or consulting background. The ideal candidate will have deep industry and technical expertise in consumer products, particularly in areas such as direct-to-consumer, e-commerce, and consumer packaged goods. Key responsibilities for the CFO include owning the full sales cycle, serving as a primary relationship owner and CFO advisor for a portfolio of consumer products clients, and leading engagement teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The role requires a strategic partner with strong executive presence, capable of transforming financial reviews into strategic conversations and of providing financial insight that drives business decisions. The CFO will also be expected to manage the financial performance of the portfolio, balance client satisfaction with economic efficiency, and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery. Critical mindsets for this role include being relationship-driven, a team player, entrepreneurial, and a continuous learner, with a technical aptitude and a willingness to leverage AI-enabled platforms.
