Job Description

Join a Teledyne Technologies business advancing defence and public safety missions through sensing, surveillance, and unmanned systems. As a Quality Engineer, you'll help ensure the reliability of PCBA and electro-mechanical products used in demanding environments. You'll work across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to strengthen processes, drive defect reduction, and ensure audit-ready compliance. If you enjoy solving complex quality issues and leading data-driven improvements, this is a hands-on role with real mission impact.

What you'll do

• Maintain and improve a QMS aligned to ISO 9001:2015
• Develop inspection plans for manufacturing and assembly processes
• Analyse yield, scrap, rework, and defect trends to drive improvements
• Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, FTA) and manage CAPA/FACAR
• Own incoming inspection and guide QC personnel
• Partner with PCBA suppliers; drive SCARs and performance gains
• Support NPI (PFMEA, validation, FAI)
• Advance Lean/Six Sigma efforts and reduce COPQ
• Track KPIs and present clear, data-driven insights
• Enable cross-functional alignment on quality standards

What you need

• Required: Strong problem-solving and RCA leadership
• Required: Experience with ISO 9001, CAPA, SPC, supplier quality
• Required: 5+ years in manufacturing/PCBA assembly quality
• Required: Data-driven mindset and effective cross-functional communication
• Required: Familiarity with ERP/MES systems
• Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Advantage: ASQ CQE or Lean Six Sigma certification
• Advantage: IPC standards (A-610, J-STD-001) and ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification
