When you join the PS team, your part of a family and part of our recipe for success.This position requires a self-driven, well organized Quality Assurance Technician who can exercise decision making skills and time management with little supervision during 1st shift. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. This position supports the company's production facility with the responsibilities that are included below. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.Primary Responsibilities:Inspect, verify, sample, weigh and test product for defectsReceive in and release raw materialsSend out samples for testing and release finished productDiscard or reject product not meeting specificationsObserve and monitor production operations to ensure conformance and adjust if necessaryWork with the plant to comply with customer requirements and maintain high industry standardsComplete allergen testing and paperwork to ensure complianceMonitor critical control points (CCP's) multiple times dailySupport all required customer audits, safe quality food (SQF) audits, third party audits and internal auditsMaintain pre-operation inspection proceduresResponsible for daily and monthly audits performed inside and outside the buildingLabel proofreading; paying special attention to detailComply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and employee safety programsOther duties as assigned by managerSkills & Qualifications:Basic math skills requiredPrior Quality Assurance experience requiredPrior work experience in food manufacturing with HACCP, GMPs and food safety programs is preferredAttention to detailPhysical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing, climbing and walking throughout the production area.Ability to transition between production and office environmentWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel, OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teamsAbility to take initiative and work independently Benefits of Working at PS Seasoning: When you join the PS family, you'll receive: Competitive Pay • Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance • 401K with Company Match • Paid holidays & vacation • On-Site fitness room • 50% Off Employee Discount • Employee Appreciation Events • Outdoor Courtyard with Putting Green • Delicious Smells*PS Seasoning is an equal opportunity employer.
