Location We are located in Cumberland at the ROAM office space. Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid Bilingual Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant role based in Atlanta, GA. The person in this position will assist attorneys with preparing and organizing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation, including forms, affidavits, and evidence packets. Daily tasks include client intake, collecting and reviewing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines. The role involves regular communication with clients in both English and Portuguese, including scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, and providing case status updates under attorney supervision. The legal assistant will also draft correspondence, interact with government agencies as directed, and support general office administration to help ensure efficient case management. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law with a focus on Immigration Law and Immigration Issues. Experience supporting cases involving Visas and related immigration benefits. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including forms, petitions, and supporting evidence. Fluency in Portuguese and English, with clear written and verbal communication in both languages. Previous experience as an immigration paralegal or legal assistant is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Client-service mindset with empathy, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information. Comfort using MyCase software and Adobe Acrobat , word processing tools, and spreadsheets. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience in a law firm setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
