TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30901!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year, Charge RN experience preferred License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Patient ratio experience of 1:6 - Charting experience with Epic Description: Charge RN experience is preferred. Minimum experience of 1 year is required; first-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses include all potential Med Surg diagnoses. Skills and knowledge required include isolation precautions, wound care, and wound vac management. Experience with nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tubes is necessary. Ability to start IVs, manage PICC lines, and administer blood products is required. Knowledge of feeding tube care and management is critical. Staffing ratio is 1:6 with an average daily census of 29 in a unit with 32 rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Compliance with full requirements is needed to start on time. Holidays are expected as per assignment period. If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Floating within facility/scope of practice is expected as needed.
