Property: 148-Unit Apartment Community

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, personable, and highly organized  Assistant Property Manager to join our team at a 148-unit apartment community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong administrative and computer skills, and is comfortable taking an active role in leasing and closing prospective tenants.

The Assistant Property Manager will support the day-to-day operations of the community, assist current residents, respond to prospective tenants, conduct leasing activities, and help maximize occupancy and revenue.

Weekend availability is an essential part of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations and administration of the apartment community.
• Greet and professionally assist prospective and current residents.
• Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and leasing leads.
• Conduct property tours and present available apartments and community amenities.
• Follow up with prospective tenants and move qualified prospects through the leasing process.
• Have a willingness and ability to close the deal and convert qualified prospects into signed leases.
• Assist with applications, lease paperwork, move-ins, and move-outs.
• Maintain accurate resident and prospect records.
• Assist with rent collection, resident communications, and general office responsibilities.
• Work with maintenance and management to address resident concerns and service requests.
• Assist with maintaining accurate occupancy and leasing records.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming, and positive atmosphere for residents and prospects.
• Support the Property Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must live within 15 miles of the property.
• Previous property management, leasing, apartment, or real estate experience is preferred.
• Yardi Breeze experience is requested but not required.
• Strong computer literacy is  required .
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
• Strong follow-up skills with prospective tenants.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident information appropriately.
