Delivery Driver (Class C)

Delivery DriverSuperior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a leading provider of skilled trade services throughout California, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering and retrieving construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites while maintaining timely and efficient delivery schedules.This position requires a valid Class C driver's license. During periods when deliveries are not scheduled, the Delivery Driver will support warehouse operations by loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, maintaining the warehouse and yard, and assisting with other operational tasks as assigned.ScheduleWednesday through Sunday 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.ResponsibilitiesOperate company stake beds or vehicles to deliver or pick-up various sized equipment and materialHook-up, attach or disconnect trailers to vehicles as neededTow trailers as needed to transport equipment and materials when requiredTie-down and inspect cargo ensuring department policies are practicedConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipmentEnsure paperwork and email communication is completed accurately and on timeCommunicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and other team members regarding delivery arrival timesPerform general maintenance and warehouse duties during non-drive timeAdaptable to work independently and as part of a teamOperate forklifts to move equipment as neededAdditional duties will be assigned as needed to support the operations of the departmentRequirementsMinimum of three years of delivery experience related to construction equipment or a closely related fieldValid and insurable Class C driver's license (defined as holding a valid license with no more than two points on driving record within the past five years)Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screeningPhysical ability to load, unload, and handle equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs. unassistedStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accuratelyProficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectivelyAbout the CompanySuperior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
