How you'll contribute A Radiology Technician who excels in this role: Review patient history and physician’s orders. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Additional requirements include: Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA). Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
