Today, we are the leading distributor of building materials products in upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania.We look for dynamic people who:are hardworking, team-oriented and take initiativehave great attitudes, high energy and enjoy focusing on customerscan communicate well, set good examples and comfortably take the leadwill hold themselves accountable for doing a great job everydayare interested in elevating their career with a company who genuinely cares about themThe Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the distribution of building materials products (primarily roofing and siding products) to residential and commercial builders and contractors.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operate company equipment to transport and pick up building materials products at designated warehouse locations.Communicate and work effectively with customers, dispatchers, management and other employees.Read work orders/invoices to determine product needs for customer pick-up or delivery.Frequently lift and carry building materials products by hand weighing up to 100 pounds.Operate a forklift to load a customer's vehicle, load an Erie Materials delivery truck, unload a vendor truck, move product in stock, etc.Clean warehouse area(s) including organization of materials, sweeping warehouse floors and parking lot areas, emptying trash cans, etc.Perform additional responsibilities, as assigned.Customer Service & Technology Interaction:Provide personalized customer service through direct in-person conversations and phone conversations.Communicate with managers, other employees and customers.Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor in all interactions, both in-person and electronically through technology mediums.Handle customer feedback and complaints efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.A valid driver's license is preferred.Knowledge of building materials products is preferred.Forklift and/or Moffett experience are preferred.Ability to lift and carry building materials products by hand weighing up to 100 pounds.Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Strong basic math skills which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.Benefits:Competitive Pay with Performance Recognition Bonuses401(k) Retirement - eligible on 1st dayGenerous Profit-Sharing ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO) - includes vacation, personal & sick timePaid HolidaysEmployee Referral BonusesMedical, Rx, Dental & Vision Insurance - eligible on 1st dayFlex Spending and Health Savings AccountsEmployer Paid Disability InsuranceEmployer Paid Life and AD&D InsuranceOptional Cancer, Pet and Legal Aid PlansPaid Training & Personal Growth OpportunitiesTuition ReimbursementMerchandise DiscountsAffiliate Automobile Lease/Purchase ProgramFun Employee Events including team, family & community!Drug Testing Requirements - All Non-CDL applicants selected for consideration must submit to a pre-employment drug screening.
