Everglade Works is looking for a highly skilled Remote IT Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our IT infrastructure. If you thrive in dynamic environments, love solving complex IT challenges, and are eager to support a fast-growing IT company, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do

System Administration : Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and cloud-based infrastructure.

User Support & Helpdesk Management : Provide technical support to remote employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Security & Compliance : Implement cybersecurity best practices, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Cloud & SaaS Management : Oversee cloud services, including AWS, Azure, and Google Workspace, optimizing performance and security.

Backup & Disaster Recovery : Ensure robust data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans are in place.

Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain scripts for IT automation and efficiency.

Software & Hardware Management : Deploy, configure, and manage software applications and company devices.

IT Policy Development : Establish and enforce IT policies and best practices across the organization.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience : 5+ years of IT administration experience in a remote or hybrid setting.

Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Hands‑on experience with network administration (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and best practices.

Ability to write scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Soft Skills

Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Education & Certifications (Preferred but not Required) :

Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
