School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - San Bernardino, California

School Nurse Position

Your nursing skills will play an essential role in ensuring every child has a safe and positive school experience. This is a contract opportunity running May 27th through June 30th, with weekday hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

The position is ideal for a compassionate and proactive RN or LVN who thrives in dynamic school settings and enjoys collaborating with both students and staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• California RN or LVN licensure in good standing
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or similar settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues
• Proficiency in record-keeping and care plan documentation
• Ability to respond effectively to a variety of health needs and emergencies
• Flexible, organized, and able to multitask in a busy school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the health needs of students each day
• Develop and implement care plans for students with medical requirements
• Administer medications and provide first aid as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students with chronic health issues
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Participate in health education and wellness promotion activities on campus

Compensation for this position ranges from $22.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
