Laser Operator

Sheet metal fabrication and manufacturer in Gallatin is hiring Laser Operators Multiple shifts available! Pay rates start at $20- $22/hour

1. st shift: M-R 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
2. nd shift: M-R 4:40 pm - 3:10 am

Weekend Shift- 5:00 am till 5:30 pm Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. (Work 36 and get paid for 40!). Essential Duties of this Laser Operators Operates the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery uses in the production process, or assist other machine operators. Has an understanding of laser machine operation, differences between cutting various alloy, and gauge of material. Performs regular maintenance on the machine. Programs, downloads and edits console as required. Verifies the measurement of cut materials. Works with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Works in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities. Uses handheld power tools to grind, sand and cut materials. Follows all safety rules and quality standards. Follows all company rules and policies. Upholds all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs, at any time with or without notice. Qualifications of this Laser Operators Six (6) months or more of related experience and or specialized training. Requires ability to program, download and edit console as required. Ability to verify the measurement of cut materials. Mechanical aptitude required. Must have good communication, organizational, and cross-training skills. Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass. No facial hair that would prevent proper seal of respiratory protection Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodations.
