Assistant Retail Manager

GoTeez is looking for a sharp, self-driven store manager to run an internal retail store three days a week. You’ll be the only person on the sales floor, operating independently and reporting directly to the Retail Sales Supervisor. We’re looking for someone who shows up excited and ready to own the sales floor, and takes genuine pride in it’s success. Schedule Core hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 7am - 4pm with opportunities to pick up Monday and/or Friday shifts when available Key Responsibilities Store Operations Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is guest-ready every day Manage POS operations and daily sales reconciliation Monitor and maintain inventory levels; assist with receiving, stocking, and merchandising Ensure the sales floor, displays, and product areas are clean, organized, and visually appealing Help enforce safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures Run the Floor Like It’s Yours Make sound, on-the-spot decisions without waiting for direction Anticipate problems before they surface and resolve them proactively Identify which products are selling and which are not Hold yourself to the same standard you’d expect from anyone else in the building Communicate clearly and consistently with the retail supervisor on any needs or concerns Guest Experience Ensure every visitor receives a warm, memorable experience consistent with our brand Handle customer needs with professionalism and a solutions-first mindset Engage visitors authentically, ensuring their experience leaves them wanting to come back Monitor guest feedback and relay insights to supervisor Support achievement of daily, weekly, and seasonal sales goals Assist with merchandise planning input based on what’s selling and guest requests Help execute promotions, seasonal displays, and new product launches Track key performance metrics (sales per visitor, conversion, top sellers) and report back to the Retail Sales Manager Qualifications Required: 2+ years of retail or hospitality supervisory/management experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable with POS systems, basic cash handling, and inventory processes Ability to work unsupervised with consistent communication with supervisor Reliable, punctual, with a customer-first mindset Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30-40 lbs, and assist with stocking/merchandising Preferred: Experience in retail management Familiarity with Maryville-based customers A natural leader who enjoys engaging guests and creating fun experiences Prior experience operating independently in a single-coverage retail environment Competitive hourly or salaried pay based on experience Performance-based incentives tied to sales and operational goals Opportunity for growth within an expanding family of other retail businesses Employee discount on merchandise A fun, one-of-a-kind work environment unlike any typical retail job #J-18808-Ljbffr
