Performing bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved. Generating and posting journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and expense allocations. Assisting with the development and implementation of accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes. Providing support during internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries. Reviewing and approving purchase orders, check requests, and vendor payments. Collaborating with other departments to streamline accounting processes and procedures. Analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant certification is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role with a strong understanding of GAAP. Proven experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
