Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD)Location: Little Rock, ArkansasJob Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryArkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled (AEDD) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.The QBHP will provide authorized behavioral health services, develop and monitor behavior-support plans, provide life-skills programming, assist during crises, supervise assigned staff, and coordinate services with the individual's treatment team. This position requires strong leadership, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide direct QBHP services as authorized in each individual's Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP).Develop and implement Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIPs).Monitor and document progress toward behavioral goals at least quarterly.Provide Adult Life Skills programming to individuals and groups.Assist with crisis intervention to protect the safety and well-being of individuals served.Complete accurate and timely service notes, billing documentation, progress reports, and other required records.Maintain records in accordance with AEDD policies and applicable regulatory requirements.Attend treatment meetings and coordinate care with internal and external service providers.Train and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in de-escalation techniques, behavior management, and individual support strategies.Communicate concerns regarding individual care, services, safety, or progress to the appropriate members of the treatment team.Meet established weekly or revised direct-service production goals for reimbursable services.Supervise a minimum of five CSSP DSP employees.Train assigned employees, delegate responsibilities, monitor job performance, and complete performance evaluations.Maintain the confidentiality of individuals served, employees, and organizational information.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in human services or a related field preferred.At least two years of management experience and/or one year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities.Previous behavioral health, case-management, supervisory, or direct-support experience is preferred.Required QualificationsMust be available to provide services as needed and attend required meetings and training.Valid Arkansas driver's license required.Current proof of automobile liability insurance required.CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained after hire.Current TB health card required.Must successfully complete all required background checks and drug screening.Must be able to travel regularly within the local service area.Occasional overnight travel may be required.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe successful candidate must be able to:Protect confidential and sensitive information.Identify problems and develop effective solutions.Provide responsive and professional customer service.Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Motivate, support, train, and evaluate assigned employees.Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance.Follow workplace safety and security procedures.Use Microsoft Office and other required documentation or reporting systems.Communicate professionally with individuals served, families, employees, and service providers.Manage conflict and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.Prepare accurate reports, correspondence, progress notes, and service documentation.Organize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently.Physical RequirementsThe employee must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, and move as required to perform assigned duties.Occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.Use close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.Demonstrate depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a professional office environment and in community-based settings. The noise level is generally moderate.
