Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

Hiring a Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Greencastle, PA

This 1st shift forklift operator role focuses on safely and efficiently loading, unloading, pulling, and case-picking product within a large warehouse environment. You will operate a stand-up forklift and RF scanner across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, supporting daily distribution activities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, safety, and flexibility.

1st shift Monday-Friday 4:30am-12:30pm

Pay Rate: $20.25/hour

Must have stand-up forklift experience

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift to load and unload product from trailers, docks, and storage locations.
• Pull product from designated warehouse locations to support order fulfillment and distribution needs.
• Perform case picking of product, typically 1015% of the time, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
• Use an RF scanner to locate, verify, and record product movements and inventory transactions.
• Work in multiple warehouse temperature zones, including dry storage, cooler (approximately 34F), and freezer (approximately -10F), as assigned.
• Move between different areas of the warehouse as needed, demonstrating flexibility in tasks and work locations.
• Lift and handle product weighing approximately 2530 pounds on a regular basis while following safe lifting practices.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Hands-on experience using RF scanners for inventory, picking, and product tracking.
• Ability to work in varied temperature environments, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
