This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and values providing exceptional service to residents and coworkers.What You'll DoAs a member of our Maintenance team, you'll help ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for the residents who call OceanView home.Responsibilities include:Responding to and completing maintenance work orders in a timely mannerTroubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, heating, and mechanical systemsPerforming preventative maintenance on equipment and building systemsRepairing or replacing faucets, toilets, fixtures, lighting, smoke detectors, thermostats, and related componentsDiagnosing maintenance issues and determining effective solutionsCoordinating with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are neededMaintaining accurate maintenance records and service schedulesAssisting with interior and exterior property upkeepSupporting landscaping and grounds maintenance as needed throughout the yearParticipating in snow removal and winter weather response effortsMaintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environmentDelivering outstanding customer service to residents, guests, and fellow team membersRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates will have experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade and possess strong troubleshooting abilities.Preferred qualifications include:Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and mechanical systemsExperience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipmentStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and customer service skillsPainting and drywall repair experience is a plus, but not requiredCarpentry experience is helpful but not requiredCommitment to safety and quality workmanshipPhysical RequirementsThis is an active position requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
