Patient Access Liaison, Manager - Krystexxa - Jacksonville, FL (Rare Disease)

Amgen seeks a Patient Access Liaison Manager to support patients, providers, and care sites in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for rare disease therapies. The field-based role addresses access barriers, educates stakeholders on prior authorization and financial assistance programs, and collaborates across internal teams to enable therapy access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource for patient access and reimbursement guidance on infused and specialty therapies
• Assist patients, caregivers, and providers navigating insurance benefits, prior authorization, and claims issues
• Educate physician offices and infusion centers on therapy coverage pathways and billing practices
• Investigate access challenges and escalate complex reimbursement issues to internal stakeholders
• Partner with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Case Management teams to support patient access initiatives

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 2+ years patient services/access experience
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years patient services/access and reimbursement experience
• Associate's degree with 8+ years patient services/access experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years
• Experience with buy-and-bill or infused pharmaceutical therapies
• Rare disease or orphan drug background preferred
• Clinical background such as nursing or allied health preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA, compliance regulations, and prior authorization processes
