Downtown Marketing, Communications and Promotions Coordinator Downtown Petoskey is seeking a Marketing, Communications and Promotions Coordinator in the Downtown Office. This position offers a special opportunity for a person with experience in marketing and event planning in a community development position. Consideration for part or full-time candidates will be given. Minimum qualifications for this position include: Qualifications Considerable knowledge of marketing through traditional and social media platforms Knowledge of business promotions and event planning and execution Working knowledge of website and database management Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Downtown merchants, other City of Petoskey department employees, Downtown Management Board members, and the public Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to communicate with and coordinate activities of committees Associates or bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field Two years’ experience in marketing and event planning and promotion A valid Michigan driver's license is required Hours will be dependent on position classification (full or part time), but presence in downtown and at events is required.
