Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU - Intensive Care Unit, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, critical environment. Responsibilities Include Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary care, ensuring comprehensive and personalized treatment plans. Performing systematic assessments, completing admission evaluations, and developing discharge and teaching plans within specified timeframes. Applying critical thinking to problem-solving, identifying variances, and modifying care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Providing safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while maintaining standards and documentation accuracy. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, respecting cultural diversity and patient rights. Assuming leadership roles such as charge nurse and mentoring new staff or students. Participating in quality improvement activities, maintaining professional development, and adhering to policies and standards. Qualifications & Skills Valid New York State RN license and registration. Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred. 1-2 years ICU experience required. Basic Life Support certification and infection control training. Effective communication skills and proficiency with data systems.
