Job Summary
We are seeking a Snowflake Admin- Architect who can own, design, administer, and optimize enterprise-scale Snowflake data platforms. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on Snowflake administration with data architecture, security, performance tuning, and cost optimization responsibilities.

We are seeking a Snowflake Admin- Architect who can own, design, administer, and optimize enterprise-scale Snowflake data platforms. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on Snowflake administration with data architecture, security, performance tuning, and cost optimization responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Snowflake Architecture
- Design and implement scalable, secure Snowflake architectures for enterprise analytics and data warehousing.
- Define best practices for database design, schema strategy, clustering, and data lifecycle management .
- Lead Snowflake adoption, modernization, and migration initiatives from on-prem or cloud platforms.
- Manage Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, roles, users, and resource monitors .
- Implement and manage RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and data security policies.
- Monitor platform health, usage, and performance across environments (DEV/QA/PROD).
- Optimize virtual warehouses, query performance, clustering, and caching .
- Implement cost control strategies using resource monitors, workload isolation, and usage analysis.
- Troubleshoot long-running queries and concurrency issues.
- Implement data security, masking policies, row-level and column-level security .
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
- Support audits and data access reviews.
- Work with ingestion tools such as Fivetran, Informatica, Talend, Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory .
- Integrate Snowflake with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud services.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and version control for Snowflake objects.
- Act as a technical lead and advisor to data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Define Snowflake standards, documentation, and operating procedures.
- Mentor teams on Snowflake best practices and architecture patterns.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake Administration & Architecture
- Advanced SQL
- Experience with RBAC, security, and governance
- Performance tuning & cost optimization
- Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
- Monitoring & troubleshooting Snowflake workloads
- Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core / Advanced)
- Experience with DevOps / CI-CD for data platforms
- Exposure to real-time or near real-time data pipelines
- Prior experience as a Data Architect or Lead Data Engineer
- Python or scripting experience
- Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Experience with enterprise data governance tools
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 12- 15 years in data engineering / data platforms
- 8+ years hands-on Snowflake experience
- Strong ownership mindset (Admin + Architect)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
