Resident Assistant

Taylor Community is looking for an experienced Resident Assistant to join our Assisted Living team!

As a Resident Assistant, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing compassionate, person-centered care and helping them maintain their health, independence, and quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care
• Follow each resident's established plan of care
• Observe and report changes in resident conditions
• Document resident care according to Taylor Community standards
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities
• Assist with laundry and light housekeeping
• Supervise residents with self-administration of medications
• Work every other weekend

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous Resident Assistant or caregiving experience preferred
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to safely assist with resident transfers and emergency evacuations
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to work with older adults
