Senior Operating Room Asst. for Endoscopy

Job Description Summary: Provides assistance in perioperative setting to include but not limited to transporting of patients, handling of sterile supplies and instruments, assisting with position and draping of patients, maintaining appropriate supply stock levels; acts as a supervised 2nd assist, Anesthesia tech, or performs neural monitoring on identified cases. Responsibilities And Duties: 20% - Assists in providing timely and efficient room/case turnover by gathering, checking, organizing dispensing and/or processing equipment, gas cylinders, supplies and instruments; opening sterile supplies and instruments. Precepts new O.R. Assistants as needed. 20% - Assists with OR readiness through patient transportation, positioning and room preparation; positions patients for procedure. 60% - At the direction of and under the direct supervision of the surgeon, may act as a second assistant to surgeon and perform intraoperative duties. May perform neural monitoring and anesthesia tech duties as directed.
