Data Scientist 2As a Data Visualization Specialist in Parts Pricing, you will use methods in visualization and analytics to solve problems for internal Caterpillar customers. You will contribute to the Parts Pricing mission by engaging in projects of medium to high complexity with direct business impact. This role is primarily focused on the analysis and dashboard development of Parts Pricing data. Top candidates will have strong development experience in Power BI and business intelligence experience.Education & Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (I.E. statistics, economics, mathematics, engineering, finance, computer science/information systems, business analytics, or similar) preferred.2-4 years of relevant experience required.Master's Degree will be accepted.Technical Skills (Required):2+ years of experience in previous BI role, with Power BI experience1+ years of experience using SQLStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with DAX, M code programming or Power BI data flows is highly desirableExperience with Power BI publication in online workspacesProficiency in data extraction and transformation from various data sourcesExpertise in report and dashboard design for visually appealing and interactive reportsTop 3 technical skills: 2+ years of experience in previous BI role, with Power BI experience, 1+ years of experience using SQL, Expertise in report and dashboard design for visually appealing and interactive reports.Soft Skills (Required):Great communication skills (both oral and written)Problem solving skillsAbility to collaborate with internal stakeholdersDetail orientedCreativityTypical task breakdown:Understand and translate business requirements as it relates to Business Intelligence and data models into actionable insightsDesign, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reportsCollaborate and engage stakeholders to understand their data needs in order to deliver quality business intelligence solutionsProvide visualization and analytics support to high profile Enterprise Strategy Division ProjectsUse visualization and analytic methods to help the Parts Pricing Organization make data-driven decisionsDisqualifiers/Red Flags:Large gaps between positions with no explanationNo recent experience with PowerBINo experience with SQL
