Healthcare Project Manager

Job Overview STV is seeking a Healthcare Project Manager for our PM/CM group in Los Angeles. The Assistant Project Manager will represent the owner’s interest and manage design professionals and contractors constructing state-of-the-art Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Bio‑Life Science facilities. The role includes managing all phases of the project life cycle such as budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, move‑management planning, and close‑out services. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in leading the project team, goal setting, and developing policies and procedures to guide the project/program. Carry out duties assigned by the Project Manager to achieve successful project completion. Lead cross‑functional healthcare projects and initiatives with demanding resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Monitor design and construction activities to ensure all phases comply with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards. Monitor, evaluate, and develop project budgets, cash‑flow analyses, cost estimates, and review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices. Forecast, identify, and address potential liabilities and risks. Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules. Ensure project objectives are met. Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors. Manage conflict resolution. Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential concerns, and persuade stakeholders, including executive leadership, to adopt positions that facilitate project success. Assist in evaluating, developing, and selecting standards, protocols, policies, and procedures to foster project success. Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of owner representative/project management experience in hospitals, healthcare systems, pharmaceutical, or bio‑life science projects. Demonstrated history of managing a minimum of $10 million in healthcare or related construction projects. Experience and knowledge of project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels. Ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise and supervise people, including recruitment, training, performance management, and development. High proficiency with Microsoft applications, including MS Project and SharePoint, and other project management software. Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions that maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule, and budget.
