Logistics Representative Location: Anniston, AL Contract: 12 months with potential for extension or direct hire Pay Rate: $29.32/hour (SCA Contract) Benefits: 10 days accrued PTO + 11 paid holidays, optional medical/dental/vision/401k benefits as well Schedule: 6:00 AM — 5:00 PM Travel: Approximately 25% Position Overview HRU Technical Resources is seeking a Logistics Representative to support lifecycle logistics activities for a leading defense manufacturing organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment, materials, and documentation are accurately managed throughout deployment, maintenance, and sustainment activities. The ideal candidate has experience with inventory management, logistics planning, and documentation in military, government, defense, or industrial environments. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Key Responsibilities Logistics & Inventory Management Prepare logistics documentation supporting equipment deployment, maintenance, and sustainment. Identify required spare parts, tools, test equipment, and technical publications for field support. Maintain inventory records for equipment, components, repair parts, and technical manuals. Track materials and coordinate proper storage, accountability, and inventory allocation. Create requisitions for equipment, repair parts, and support materials. Maintenance & Configuration Support Determine maintenance and repair materials required for field operations. Maintain maintenance records, repair standards, and supporting technical documentation. Review engineering and configuration changes to assess impacts on logistics support. Document equipment, component, and part conditions throughout the product lifecycle. Documentation & Lifecycle Support Maintain logistics support documentation, including: Technical manuals Engineering drawings Maintenance requirement cards Configuration documentation Ensure documentation remains current and supports long-term sustainment activities. Assist with lifecycle logistics planning and documentation updates. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and supply chain teams. Support logistics planning for new equipment deployments. Maintain accurate records to ensure operational readiness and customer support requirements are met. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, supply chain, or a related field. Experience maintaining inventory records and logistics documentation. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately record and verify inventory data. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 2–4 years of logistics or inventory management experience. Experience with ERP or inventory management systems such as SAP, Oracle, FEDLOG, or Haystack. Experience supporting military, government, or defense logistics operations. Knowledge of: Basic Issue Items (BII) Equipment Fielding Military supply and maintenance procedures Prior military experience as a Prescribed Load List (PLL) Clerk , Maintenance Clerk , or similar logistics role. Microsoft Office certification is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities. Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Experience working with inventory databases and logistics software. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Commitment to maintaining accurate records and supporting operational excellence. Physical Requirements Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and field environments, both indoors and outdoors. Ability to lift, carry, and position moderate to heavy materials. Ability to work around industrial equipment and in confined or elevated work areas as needed. Visual acuity sufficient to read technical documentation and perform logistics activities safely. Ability to communicate effectively in environments with moderate to high background noise. Why Apply?
