We maintain thousands of vehicles at eight locations in five states and over 300 employees committed to providing safe, comfortable and reliable transportation for our customers around the world.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer serviceAct as liaison between customers, manufacturers, and techniciansLook up warranty history and potential open recalls on busesOpen RO’s in computer systemCode RO’s for proper billing; customer, warranty, or company codeTrack service work orders from start to finishCoordinate pick and return of customer vehiclesProperly document all work ordersCommunicate with Parts Dept and Service Technicians to make sure everything needed is on handContact manufacturers for warranty approvals, issues, goodwill, and repair assistancePerform timely follow up communication with the customerKeeps updated on all warranty policies and product changesCommunicating with customers when a delay (Back Order) will occur and offering alternativesRecording information carefully and identifying needed parts using most efficient methodCheck in buses as they arrive and assist with keeping NO parking lanes openLot scanning at location and off-site locationOther duties as assignedEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in the Bus, Medium/Heavy Duty truck or automotive industryExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersExcellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel)Knowledge of internal service, sales and parts policies and proceduresMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceCDL Class B preferred, but not requiredBenefits:Competitive PayMedical InsuranceDental and VisionCompany paid for Short & Long Term Disability and Life Insurance401(k) with company matchHoliday PayPaid Time OffCareer GrowthMidwest Transit Equipment is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
