Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room License: Valid nursing license required prior to start date Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS TNCC Must-Have: Candidates must have 2-3 years of ER experience. Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Description: The nursing department is seeking a registered nurse for the emergency room. This position is for night shifts. The unit has a patient ratio of 4 for both days and nights. Supplemental floating to nearby facilities may occur but rarely. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The facility cares for a diverse patient age group, from neonates to geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 150 patients with a total of 53 rooms. Applicants must have experience with a charting system, specifically Cerner. Travel experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates must possess specific skills, including blood product administration and care of ventilated patients. Management of dysrhythmias and starting and maintaining IVs are also essential skills. This position requires adaptability to various patient diagnoses and interdisciplinary support.
