Under the direction of the Supervising Oil and Gas Engineer, Programs II, the Senior Oil and Gas Engineer (Supervisor) will function as the Underground Gas Storage (UGS) Program Manager for the California Geologic Energy Management Division’s Headquarters. The UGS Program Manager will oversee a staff of engineers and scientists and will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing business processes, technical solutions, and specialized requirements for CalGEM’s UGS and Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA) Programs. The incumbent will provide guidance for the development of tools and assist CalGEM managers and district deputies in consistent statewide implementation of UGS and PHMSA regulations.
