Details Work in a Labor and Delivery unit with 6 LDR beds, a 2-bay PACU, 2 OR suites, 3 triage beds, and 3 outpatient testing beds Care for labor, OB triage, and OB surgical patients with a staffing ratio of 1-2:1 for labor patients Utilizes OB emergency skills including hemorrhage and hypertension management RNs circulate OB surgical cases Night shift schedule, 3x12s, 7p-7a Weekend and holiday rotation required Requirements Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required AWHONN FHM, ACLS, and NRP certifications required ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment Proficiency administering medications and performing procedures such as wound care and IV therapy Additional Information Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for L&D and OB surgical patients Facilitate patient and family education and support discharge planning in coordination with Case Management Mentor staff members and nursing students, and assist with orientation of new staff Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction and safety initiatives Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, with local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-755055.
