Position Position: UI/UX Software Engineer - Aurora, CO or Meridian, CO Location: Aurora, CO or Meridian, CO Job Id: 646 # of Openings: 1 Salary Range: $140,000-$199,000 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Research, design, develop, and test software applications for a variety of systems. Understand customer/operational requirements and implement new functionality into software products. Develop unit test software to exercise critical aspects of the system. Document and communicate highly technical concepts effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences. Required Skills and Qualifications Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI access (requires U.S. citizenship). Experience with software development lifecycle and associated tools. Experience with open‑source libraries and frameworks such as Angular (17+), Tailwind, and MapLibre. Experience with web‑based API design and use. Experience developing software on and for Linux systems. Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong organization, decision‑making, and verbal/written communication skills. High level of self‑initiative and self‑motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively in team settings to solve complex problems. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Experience with distributed software version control systems and continuous integration (e.g., Git, GitLab‑Pipelines). Experience with schema languages for describing data and services (e.g., JSON Schema, OpenAPI, Protocol Buffers). Experience working with geospatial libraries such as Cesium, OpenLayers, or MapLibre. Experience working with large data sets. UI/UX design experience and/or training. Proficient in Angular and TypeScript. Experience designing and implementing interactive data visualizations.
