Physical Therapist (PT)
AvaMed Workforce is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join a medical facility in Delano, CA.
Responsibilities
- Assess function: Test balance, strength, and range of motion.
- Review medical history: Read doctor notes and surgical reports.
- Set goals: Build customized short-term and long-term care plans.
- Track progress: Monitor improvement and adjust care plans as needed.
- Gait and balance training: Teach safe walking skills and posture.
- Assistive devices: Train residents to use walkers, canes, or wheelchairs.
- Strength building: Lead exercises to restore muscle mass after illness or stroke.
- Pain management: Apply stretches, manual therapy, or modalities to ease joint and muscle discomfort.
Qualifications
• Active California PT license • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred — new graduates encouraged to apply • Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach
Compensation & Benefits
$65/hr-$70/hr (travel rate available) • Weekly pay
