Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
The CVOR RN provides specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgeries. This role involves scrubbing and assisting in open heart and wired vascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular and vascular surgeries.
• Assist surgeons by maintaining a sterile environment and passing instruments during procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to intraoperative changes.
• Follow all safety protocols, including current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Document all perioperative activities accurately in compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent CVOR RN experience, with at least 18 months in the specialty.
• Hold an active Ohio license or a compact license valid at the time of submission.
• Possess current BLS certification; other certifications such as ACLS are preferred.
• Exhibit proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• Be able to pass required assessments with acceptable scores and complete background and drug screenings.
