Company Description Brigacare is a physician-led, statewide network of professionals providing behavior services in I/DD residences and other supported living settings across Oregon. The organization offers specialized behavior support for medically fragile individuals, including functional behavior assessments, positive behavior support plans, emergency safety plans, and ongoing training and support. Brigacare also delivers education and training for staff at all levels, covering areas such as Oregon Intervention System (OIS), medication administration, dementia care for the I/DD community, and pandemic preparedness. In addition, Brigacare sponsors CareTalk with Dr. Rob and Ryan, a platform designed to share current information, industry insights, and community perspectives within Oregon’s Human Services sector. The team is committed to collaboration, quality care, and supporting providers and staff in navigating a rapidly evolving industry. Role Description The Behavior Consultant is a contract, hybrid role based in Portland, OR, with flexibility for some work from home. This role involves conducting functional behavior assessments, developing individualized positive behavior support plans, and creating temporary emergency safety plans for individuals in I/DD and supported living settings. The Behavior Consultant will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, provide staff training and coaching on behavior strategies and safety practices, and offer ongoing consultation to ensure consistent implementation of support plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing clinical and behavioral data, documenting progress, updating plans as needed, and communicating recommendations to providers, families, and support staff. The role may also participate in the development and delivery of educational content and contribute insights to Brigacare’s broader training and communication initiatives. Qualifications Strong skills in Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis for assessment, plan development, and intervention. Background in Psychology and Behavioral Health to understand complex behavioral, medical, and mental health needs. Experience with Behavior Modification techniques to design, implement, and monitor evidence-based support strategies. Knowledge of I/DD services, supported living, and trauma-informed care. Demonstrated ability to train and coach direct support professionals and interdisciplinary teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and report writing. Ability to work independently, manage a flexible contract schedule, and travel locally within the Portland, OR area as needed. Relevant credentials such as BCBA, licensed behavior professional, or advanced degree in psychology, behavior analysis, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience) are highly beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
