Salesperson/Store Driver Store

Salesperson A professional, entry‑level sales position that supports the DIY automotive business by meeting sales and service objectives. The role requires a solid understanding of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. In‑depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes is also expected. Part‑time or full‑time schedules are available. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Primary Responsibilities Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls. Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its sales targets. Offer DIY services, including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and more. Maintain store product and operational standards. Handle inventory processes such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back stock management. Secondary Responsibilities Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facings, dusting, and parking lot. General stocking of truck and back stock. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed. Success Factors Basic driving and navigation ability. Proficiency with a delivery board system. Friendly communication skills. Ability to locate and stock parts. Safety knowledge and skills. Experience operating inventory systems and store equipment. Parts and automotive system knowledge. Proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems. Expertise using testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service. Essential Job Skills Speak and write in English (Spanish a plus). Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals. Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Prior Experience 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences. Store Driver An entry‑level store driver position focused on delivering parts to commercial customers. Responsibilities include delivering parts, assisting with store inventory processes, and supporting the store team. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and requires fleet safety certification. Primary Responsibilities Safely deliver parts to customers as needed. Pick and stage parts for customer orders. Pick up returns and cores. Drop off weekly or monthly sales flyers. Collect daily credit accounts. Secondary Responsibilities Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facings, dusting, and parking lot. General stocking of truck and back stock. Success Factors Basic driving and navigation ability. Proficiency with a delivery board system. Friendly communication. Ability to locate and stock parts. Safety knowledge and skills. Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified. Physical Demands Walk or stand for the majority of the shift. Be able to use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Required visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Work is primarily inside but may include outdoor tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious locations, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration may occur. Noise levels are usually moderate.
