As a CNC Operator with Inalfa, you are in the driver's seat to set up and run CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment, cut precise parts from raw materials like metal and plastic, and operate manual shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools.Summary: A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is a manufacturing professional who sets up, operates, and monitors automated machines such as mills, lathes, and routers to shape and cut precise parts from raw materials like metal and plastic. They bridge the gap between design and production by turning blueprints into finished goods.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the Management Systems and to ensure compliance with their requirements.Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to manufacture parts according to specificationsSet up and run CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructionsPerform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustmentsVerify part dimensions using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gaugesInspect completed parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracyMaintain proper documentation for completed jobs and inspectionsTroubleshoot minor machining or tooling issues and escalate major concerns when neededPerform basic preventive maintenance and daily cleaning on machines and shop equipmentOperate manual shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, grinders, and other fabrication toolsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout practicesSupport continuous improvement initiatives and help reduce scrap and downtimeAssist with fixture setup, tooling organization, and shop organization as neededRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience operating CNC mills and CNC lathesExperience programming CNC machines using G-code and M-codeExperience operating 3-axis CNC machining centersExperience with Hurco WinMax controls or similar CNC control systems preferredAbility to operate manual mills and manual lathes preferredAbility to safely use common shop tools and fabrication equipmentAbility to read blueprints and mechanical drawingsKnowledge of machining tolerances and basic GD&T preferredEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPreferably 3-5 years' Experience as Fabricator/Die MakerAbility to operate Lathe; saws; mill; grinder; etc.Previous work experience as a Fabricator/Die Maker.AWS certification and advanced welding experience.Basic knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.Ability to stand for long periods.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
